Also known as: Nits Max Rated Brightness Peak Brightness Max. brightness

Full Definition & Technical Explanation

Brightness is measured in nits (cd/m²). A 400-nit laptop screen is fine indoors; 1000–3000 nits phones stay readable in sunlight and unlock HDR highlights. OLED panels can boost a small area much brighter than full-screen.

See Max rated brightness: 3000 nits and Max rated brightness in HDR: 1600 nits in display specs.
