SKU — Stock Keeping Unit — a unique product identifier. [ GENERAL ]
SLC — Single-Level Cell NAND — one bit per cell, fastest and most durable. [ STORAGE ]
SMIC — China's largest semiconductor foundry, making chips on mature nodes. [ BRANDS ]
SMT — Technology that runs two threads per CPU core, improving multi-tasking throughput. [ PERFORMANCE ]
SO-DIMM — A smaller memory module used in laptops. [ MEMORY ]
SPEC — The Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation's benchmark suites. [ BENCHMARK ]
SPECfp — SPEC's floating-point CPU benchmark. [ BENCHMARK ]

SRAM — Static Random-Access Memory — fast cache memory that doesn't need refreshing. [ MEMORY ]
SSD — A storage drive with no moving parts; much faster and more durable than a hard drive. [ STORAGE ]
SSD controller — The chip that manages an SSD's NAND and interface. [ STORAGE ]
SSE — Intel's Streaming SIMD Extensions for multimedia processing. [ CHIPS ]
